Comparison
bizzMate and Zoho CRM
Zoho offers a lot of software for the money, and a free edition on top. The trade is breadth against focus — and, for an Australian small business, how much of that breadth you will ever switch on. Here is how to tell which fits.

Where Zoho CRM is strong
Zoho CRM is a good product.
If this is what you need, you should buy it. We would rather you found that out here than three months in.
- A free edition, and a very wide range of business applications beyond CRM.
- Deep customisation for businesses that want to shape the system around an existing process.
- A separate product, Bigin, aimed specifically at small businesses and freelancers.
Which one fits
It depends on the business you are running.
Not on which product has more features. These are the situations each one is genuinely better at.
Choose bizzMate if…
- You want one product that is finished, not a suite you assemble.
- Sales and customer support belong on the same customer record, run by the same few people.
- You want AI in the plan and a price in Australian dollars from an Australian company.
- You would rather spend the first afternoon selling than configuring.
Consider Zoho CRM if…
- You want accounting, HR, projects and CRM from one vendor on one contract.
- You have a process that genuinely needs deep customisation, and someone to do it.
- You want to start on a free edition, or you are a single operator and their small-business product fits.
A suite, or a single product
Zoho's strength is range — CRM is one application among many, and for a business that wants everything from one vendor that is a real advantage.
bizzMate does one thing: the customer. Contacts, organisations, deals, activities, customer support and the AI that helps with all of it. If you need accounting or HR, we expect you to use something built for that, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
Which product is the small-business one
Zoho's own CRM site describes Bigin as built specifically for small businesses, freelancers and entrepreneurs, alongside Zoho CRM itself. That is worth knowing before you compare: there are two different products, aimed at two different sizes of business, and the right comparison depends on which one you are being shown.
bizzMate has one product for that whole range. A one-person business and a twenty-person business get the same software and differ only in how much of it they use.
Configuration as a feature, or as a cost
Deep customisation is genuinely valuable when you have an established process worth encoding, and somebody whose job includes encoding it.
bizzMate takes the opposite position deliberately: opinionated defaults, three roles, and enough flexibility to fit how a small business already works without a configuration project. That is a worse fit for a complex process and a better fit for a business that wants to be using it this week.

What we say about Zoho CRM, and where it came from.
We do not publish Zoho CRM's prices, plans or limits. They change, and a stale figure about somebody else's product is a misrepresentation rather than a typo. Everything we do state about them comes from their own pages, dated below.
Zoho's CRM site states its "freemium edition supports up to 3 users" and describes "Bigin by Zoho CRM, built specifically for small businesses, freelancers, and entrepreneurs".

Frequently asked questions
- Zoho is cheap and has a free edition. What am I paying bizzMate for?
- Focus, and the fact that support and sales are the same system. Zoho gives you more software; bizzMate gives you one product that is finished for the job a small business actually does, with AI included and support on the same customer record. If breadth is what you need, Zoho is a reasonable answer and we will not pretend otherwise.
- How do the prices compare?
- We do not print their prices here — they vary by edition, currency and billing term, and a stale figure about somebody else's product is a misrepresentation, not a rounding error. Ours are on our pricing page in Australian dollars. Compare against what you would actually switch on.
- Can I import my Zoho data?
- Contacts, organisations, leads and deals via CSV, with column mapping and a preview before anything is written. There is no direct Zoho connector. If you use several Zoho applications together, be realistic about what moving only the CRM leaves behind.
