About bizzMate

A CRM built for the business you actually run.

bizzMate exists because the software that manages customer relationships for small Australian businesses is usually either a spreadsheet, or a system designed for a company ten times their size.

Why it exists

The gap in the middle.

Ask a small Australian business how they track customers and you usually get one of two answers. Either it is a spreadsheet and an inbox, held together by one person’s memory. Or it is an enterprise CRM that somebody bought, half-configured, and quietly stopped opening.

Both failures have the same cause: the work of keeping a customer record current has to be smaller than the value of having it. A spreadsheet is easy to update and useless to share. An enterprise CRM is powerful and takes a dedicated administrator to keep honest. Neither fits a business of three to thirty people who are selling and delivering at the same time.

bizzMate is built for that middle. Contacts, organisations, deals, a pipeline and follow-ups — with the record workspace, the timeline and the reporting you need to run a real sales process, and none of the configuration ceremony you do not.

It is built for Australian businesses first: priced and billed in Australian dollars, using Australian spelling and date conventions, and operated by an Australian company subject to the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

How we build

Five rules the product is held to.

These are not aspirations on a wall. They are the constraints every change to bizzMate is reviewed against.

  1. Never show a number we cannot derive

If the data does not support a figure, bizzMate shows a dash or omits it. No invented probabilities, no fabricated health scores, no comparison against a period we did not actually measure. A CRM that flatters you is worse than no CRM.

  2. The server is the boundary

Permissions and workspace isolation are enforced by the API and the database. Hiding a button in the interface is a convenience, never a security control.

  3. A human stays in the loop

AI drafts and summarises. It does not send, decide or act. Anything that reaches a customer passes through a person first — and that is a design decision, not a limitation we plan to remove.

  4. Say what the product does not do

There is a list on the pricing page of what bizzMate does not include, and the security page states plainly which certifications we do not hold. Finding out during a trial is worse for everyone.

  5. Small enough to learn in an afternoon

Every feature added has to justify the complexity it introduces for a business with no CRM administrator. Depth belongs in reports, not in the daily path.

Design philosophy

Clarity over cleverness.

bizzMate is designed to be readable at a glance by someone who has thirty seconds before a call.

One layout, learned once

Contacts, organisations and deals share the same workspace shape, so knowing one means knowing all three.

Information hierarchy, not decoration

The figures that change a decision sit at the top. Everything else earns its place below them.

Accessible by default

Keyboard operation, focus visibility, colour contrast and reduced-motion support are part of the definition of done, not a later pass.

Fast on the hardware people have

The product is built to work on a laptop in a car park with one bar of signal, because that is where follow-ups actually get logged.

A small team applauding a colleague at the end of a meeting.

Who we build for

Small Australian businesses, not enterprise rollouts.

The people we build for do not have a CRM administrator. They have a business to run, and a system that has to earn its place in the day.
